SUMMARY:The Art of the Easter Egg: How Play Created a $1B+ Pipeline.
DESCRIPTION:What do ducks\, dancing\, and digital towers have to do with billion-dollar pipelines? \nIn this candid\, visual\, case-backed talk\, Carlson Bull (CEO\, bully! entertainment) explores how play\, from easter eggs to micro-celebrations\, unlocks real business conversations. \nWhether selling GenAI to global C-suites or turning a trade show booth into a story engine\, the formula is the same: give people something fun to talk about first. \nFeaturing work with Microsoft\, power-four consultancies\, and more\, Carlson unpacks how “candy vs. entrée” design drives trust\, emotion\, and over $1B in pipeline gen. Serious results\, sparked by play. \nKey takeaways: \n\nPlay triggers presence: Learn why small surprises (ducks\, spins\, snarky quips) create emotional space for deeper conversations.\nDesign with “candy + entrée” in mind: Use Gladwell’s framing to balance fun and substance in every experience.\nBuild for talkability: Discover how embedded play turns complex products into memorable stories people want to share.\nUse emerging tech with tone: See how AI-driven personalization (like snarky commentary) builds emotional resonance.\nMake serious scalable: Explore how modular tools drive real pipeline while staying playful.

SUMMARY:Bompas & Parr: Inside Allen Ginsberg’s Fridge
DESCRIPTION:The companion session to Monday night’s Allen Ginsberg’s Fridge at Bompas & Parr. \nHosted by the incomparable Sam Bompas and Rob Smith of Bompas & Parr\, more tales of refrigerated drinks and our imminent future of food. Served fresh with the glistening condensation of futurity \nHave you ever wondered how Marie Antoinette’s Pleasure Dairies might inspire how we consume the fresh products of tomorrow? Or considered what new approaches to nocturnal drinking might better support the sensorial realm of attractions. \nThis session will present the future of the food and drink developed by Bompas & Parr’s strategy and insights team. There will be tasters for your experienced palate. \nFor details on how to book Monday’s Studio Visit to Bompas & Parr including Allen Ginsberg’s Fridge\, visit: https://londonexperienceweek.com/event/bompas-parr-studio-visit/  \nFor details on how to book Friday’s My Lady Nicotine exhibition at Bompas & Parr\, visit: https://londonexperienceweek.com/event/bompas-parr-my-lady-nicotine/ \n  \n\n  \nAllen Ginsberg’s Fridge at Bompas & Parr \nIn 1960 Allen Ginsberg had two pictures taped to his fridge – one of Baudelaire\, the other of Poe. These galvanised his writing each time he went for a cooled snack. \nJoin us for a rambunctious and poetic evening of refrigerated drinks and creative camaraderie. We’ll look at networks of inspiration and where ideas come from\, the catalytic entities you have taped to your fridge and food as a site for emotive experiences. \nOn Ginsberg’s death\, the only items remaining in his apartment once the contents were auctioned and the archive went to Stamford were two tins of his frozen fish chowder. Refused by the Met and Guggenheim\, rescued after a brownout on the Lower East Side\, the soup tins were eventually exhibited in the Museum of Jurassic Technology. \nThe evening will feature: \n\nArdent spirits that foster creativity\nPoetry around a fridge\nFish chowder based on Ginsberg’s recipe\, itself drawn from Rochelle Kraut’s scrod\nCreating experiences with literary IPs\nNotes towards which weird items should be preserved in museums\nSpoons

SUMMARY:Worlds Not Walls: 7 Principles for Turning Attractions into Playable Worlds
DESCRIPTION:In the modern Experience Economy\, passive entertainment is a wall. \nModern “Play Native” audiences want to break through that barrier to inhabit “playable worlds” where their presence matters. \nThis session is an authorised deep dive into PRELOADED’s “7 Principles for Bringing Play to Attractions.” \nUsing the Playful Experience Design (PXD) framework\, we explore how to move from “showing” a story to “hosting” an ecosystem. \nLearn how to transform static attractions into living environments where guests aren’t just visitors\, they are protagonists of a world built for play\, agency\, and human connection. \nKey takeaways: \n\nDismantling the Barrier: Master the “Low Thresholds\, Wide Walls\, High Ceilings” model to invite everyone in while providing infinite depth for the most curious players.\nNarrative as Instruction: Shift from reading rules to discovering the world: replace traditional manuals with diegetic instruction. By leveraging environmental storytelling instead of intrusive tutorials\, the game uses the world itself to signal mechanics and guide player progression.\nEngineering Social Connectivity: Leverage the “Eyes-Up Play” principle to prioritise physical\, human-to-human interaction over digital screen distraction.\nThe invisible tech filter: Learn to apply a narrative filter to technology and sets\, ensuring every element reinforces the world’s internal logic rather than breaking the spell.

SUMMARY:ROI\, ROX & Timing: An Experiential Love Triangle
DESCRIPTION:What if most experiential projects don’t fail because of bad ideas — but because teams commit too early? \nThis case study / workshop breaks down two real Luna Luna outcomes. \nFirst\, a win: six months spent learning how to speak to an audience — tone\, references\, cultural signals — while raising interest from partners and capital\, all on a 5-figure budget and before a venue or show design existed. \nThen\, a loss: a high-volume show launch where guest flow decisions were locked before insight\, forcing expensive mid-run fixes. \nUsing real numbers\, timelines\, and trade-offs\, this session shows how sequencing audience learning\, capital\, and commitment directly determines ROI and ROX. \nTLDR; Most experiential pain is self-inflicted. This is how to delay the pain until it actually matters. \nKey takeaways: \n\nTest demand before belief hardens\nLearn how to validate interest and audience resonance before locking venues\, designs\, or major spend — using lightweight signals rather than polished launches.\nRead pricing through time\, not averages\nUse day- and hour-level sales patterns to identify pricing gaps\, demand cliffs\, and elasticity early\, instead of relying on blended metrics that hide opportunity.\nBorrow communities before buying attention\nActivate bands\, artisans\, creators\, and local partners as built-in distribution to reduce CAC and deepen emotional engagement without increasing media spend.\nLearn at checkout\, not after the run\nCapture real customer intent in the moment of purchase to improve marketing\, programming\, and sponsorship decisions while the experience is still live.\nSpend only where impact clears breakeven\nApply a simple breakeven test to creative and operational decisions to avoid overhiring\, overdesigning\, and last-minute additions that audiences won’t materially notice. (this is where the love triangle really comes in)

SUMMARY:Using AI to Clarify Experience Design
DESCRIPTION:Many designers are adopting AI tools quickly. The result is often more concepts\, more outputs\, but less clarity. Instead of accelerating decision-making\, AI can create noise that weakens creative direction and human judgment. \nThis session reframes AI as a design assistant\, NOT a shortcut or replacement for craft. Through real-world case studies\, NeoPangea’s Jen Wallace and Teresa Van Wagner are joined by ID3 Group’s Lydia Futral-Pilcher to show how AI is intentionally integrated into NeoPangea’s experience design workflow to support clarity\, alignment\, and better decision-making across IRL projects. \nThe session will walk through when and why AI is used during concept development\, narrative framing\, and internal alignment\, and when it’s deliberately not used. Along the way\, the speakers will share honest examples of failed experiments\, abandoned approaches\, and lessons learned. \nAttendees will be introduced to a simple\, repeatable framework for using AI with purpose\, preserving authorship while benefiting from emerging tools. \nFor beginner to intermediate AI users; experience designers\, creative technologists\, producers\, and strategists \nKey takeaways: \n\nA practical framework for integrating AI into experience design workflows\nClear guidance on where AI adds value\, and where it erodes craft\nReal examples of successful and unsuccessful AI use in IRL projects\nGreater confidence using AI intentionally\, not reactively\n\n

SUMMARY:Pitch\, Please! How to Sell Your Creative Idea
DESCRIPTION:Creative ideas don’t fail because they’re not good—they fail because they’re pitched without clarity\, context\, or value. \nThis interactive workshop breaks down how to pitch creative ideas to brands in a way that actually gets a yes. Participants will learn how to frame ideas as brand solutions\, align creativity with business goals\, and communicate value without flattening the magic. \nThrough hands-on exercises\, live examples\, and real-time reframing\, attendees will actively workshop a pitch and leave with a simple\, repeatable framework they can use in brand meetings\, decks\, and follow-ups. \nLess theory. More traction. \nKey takeaways: \n\n A 5-Part Pitch Framework\nA simple structure for pitching creative ideas to brands that clearly connects concept\, audience\, brand value\, and outcome.\nThe “Brand Translation” Cheat Sheet\nA quick-reference guide for translating creative language into brand priorities like objectives\, KPIs\, and ROI.\nThe 30-Second Hook Formula\nA repeatable opening that captures attention fast and frames your idea before details derail the room.\nA Pitch Clarity Checklist\nA self-edit tool to stress-test any pitch for focus\, relevance\, and decision-maker readiness.\nA Reusable Pitch Template\nA plug-and-play template attendees can use immediately for decks\, meetings\, or written proposals.

SUMMARY:The Story Codex: A New Framework for Narrative in Experiences
DESCRIPTION:The Story Codex is a narrative tool that redefines how stories are built. \nDesigned to be equally useful for linear\, branching\, and open-world experiences\, this new framework also empowers collaborators across disciplines — both writers and non-writers alike — to shape the narrative design of an experience. \nKey takeaways: \n\nImmersive stories are not films or television shows. So why are immersive writers still using film and television tools — like treatments or bibles — to create and document their work? Whether attendees go on to use the Story Codex or not\, this presentation will open their eyes to the urgent need for new narrative tools that are designed specifically for immersive storytelling.\nThe presentation will shift the definition of “story” from a linear plot and cast of characters to\, simply\, a collection of rules. This will fundamentally change the way attendees think about narrative.\nThe Story Codex is the first narrative tool that develops stories as rule sets — and attendees will quickly learn how to adapt this method for their own projects.

SUMMARY:Puppetry as a Gateway to Participation in Immersive Experiences
DESCRIPTION:Many immersive experiences struggle to invite participation without instruction or pressure. This hands-on workshop explores puppetry as a craft for designing invitations to play. \nWorking directly with puppets from The Wylding Woods\, participants will experiment with gaze\, movement\, scale\, and restraint to feel how small choices open or close audience engagement. \nThe focus is not on puppetry technique\, but on how puppets communicate permission\, safety\, and curiosity—especially across mixed-age audiences. \nAttendees will leave with embodied insights they can apply to participatory moments in their own work. \nKey takeaways: \n\nA felt understanding of invitation vs. performance\nTools for lowering audience anxiety and resistance\nTransferable patterns usable beyond puppetry

SUMMARY:How to Pitch (Almost) Anything: Build Yours in 45 Minutes
DESCRIPTION:You need to pitch yourself\, your company\, or your next project—but how do you explain something intangible? \nExperience professionals face a unique challenge: clients can’t see value until it exists. \nThe result? Rambling explanations\, blank stares\, projects that die before they start. \nThis hands-on workshop uses the Pocket Pitch framework from How to Pitch (Almost) Anything (Pearson\, 2025). \nYou’ll craft a working two-sentence pitch that translates vision into language stakeholders understand—whether pitching clients\, explaining your studio’s value\, or presenting a concept. \nBring a notebook. Follow the framework. Leave with a pitch you’ll use tomorrow. \nKey takeaways: \n\nThe Pocket Pitch Framework: A repeatable structure from Strategic Story Design that works for any pitch\, any room\, any context. Called a “Pocket Pitch” because it’s always with you — compact enough to remember\, flexible enough to use forever.\nYour Completed Pocket Pitch: You won’t just learn the framework\, you’ll build yours during the session. Leave with a working two-sentence pitch for yourself\, your company\, or a specific project — ready for proposals\, client conversations\, and networking the very next day.\nAudience-First Thinking: The Pocket Pitch works because it’s built on story structure — the same patterns behind every compelling narrative. Leading with how you help rather than what you do puts your audience at the center of the story\, which is exactly where they need to be.\nThe H.E.L.P. Checklist: Four questions that quality-check any communication before it goes out — not just pitches\, but briefs\, proposals\, emails\, and presentations. A practical editing tool drawn from the book that you’ll use long after the session ends.\nOne Framework\, Many Contexts: The same Pocket Pitch structure works whether you’re pitching yourself as a freelancer\, positioning your studio\, or presenting a specific concept to a client. The session shows you how to adapt it so you leave with more than one application in mind.
