Marie du Chastel

Marie du Chastel is co-founder and Head of Arts at ikii (www.ikii.studio), an international creative studio helping festivals, venues and brands design distinctive live and immersive experiences through a global network of artists, technologists and industry partners.

She is also the Artistic Director of KIKK Festival (www.kikk.be) in Namur, Belgium, an internationally recognised event exploring the crossovers between art, science, technology and society, bringing together tens of thousands of visitors every year since 2011. At KIKK, she leads artistic programming across festivals, exhibitions, residencies and educational initiatives, and oversees Le Pavillon, a 2,500 m² art centre developing thematic exhibitions at the intersection of art, science and technology. She also initiated AfriKIKK, a programme dedicated to showcasing digital creativity from Africa, the Maghreb and their diasporas.

Marie has been a member of the Digital Arts Commission of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation since 2014, and in 2020 was named Francophone Woman of the Year by the International Association of French Speaking Mayors.

Working between cultural institutions and the experience economy, she builds bridges between artists, researchers, technologists and audiences, using art and creativity as tools to challenge perspectives and imagine new futures.
