Richard Parry is the creator and chair of Experience UK, and the former Head of the Experience Economy at the Department for Business and Trade.
After more than four decades working at the Department for Business and Trade to support UK companies in the creative industries, Richard is now a consultant at Experience On Main Street (EOMS).
EOMS is a concept created by Parry designed to help streets, districts, towns and cities recover from a drop in footfall caused by the pandemic that changed work and travel behaviors. More recently, he developed CARE – an infographic designed to help with the navigation of placemaking issues. Parry has worked in the USA, Europe, the Gulf and Asia.
He has a special affection for Hong Kong, where he has both British and Chinese relatives.
