Some of the best moments at London Experience Week happen when the agenda opens up and the community takes over.
That is exactly what the WXO Unconference is for: a space for attendees to run their own sessions, share ideas, test new thinking and bring fresh conversations into the mix. A talk, a workshop, a meet-up or a debate — it is completely up to you.
And this year, it is getting even bigger.
After proving one of the most popular parts of the event, the Unconference is moving from a single daily slot to its very own stage, running across all three days of London Experience Week: Tuesday 21 April, Wednesday 22 April and Thursday 23 April.
The idea is simple. If you have something to share– an experience, a technique, a discovery, a challenge or a point of view – you can pitch a session on the day. The format is deliberately informal and collaborative. Sessions should be casual, creative, commercial and designed to spark useful conversations.
The only rule: no sales pitches!

To enter, attendees simply need to fill in a Post-it note with their name, session title and a short description, then add it to the Unconference board. From there, the community takes over. Every LXW attendee gets star stickers to vote for the sessions they most want to attend, with the most popular ideas winning a slot on the stage.
Based in the Ministry of Sound’s covered Courtyard area, this year’s Unconference Stage will feature rolling 30-minute sessions on the hour, with available slots at 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00 and 16:00 each day. Because votes are counted throughout the day, the line-up will evolve in real time, so speakers need to stay flexible and ready to jump in.

WXO Head of Content Mike Goldsmith said: “The WXO Unconference has beome one of the most popular parts of London Experience Week because it captures exactly what makes the event special — people bringing their own energy, ideas and experience into the room. We had to expand it because the appetite was so strong, and giving it its own stage felt like the natural next step.”
The WXO team will tot up votes throughout the day and place the most popular sessions into time slots as things progress. That means agility is part of the format. If you submit a session, keep checking the board — things can change fast, and you may be called up with little notice.
The Unconference has always been a brilliant reflection of the WXO community at its best: generous, curious, practical and unafraid to share what is really happening in the world of experience. By giving it a dedicated stage this year, we are making more room for those unexpected ideas and peer-led conversations that attendees love most.
So if you have got something to say, a technique to share or a conversation you want to start, grab a Post-it and a Sharpie – and get involved!
