We’re delighted to bring you this immersive sonic showcase from German audio creative collective, KLING KLANG KLONG.
For 60 minutes in The 103, they will take you through an audio-visual journey-cum-playlist incorporating the following works.
For a full explanation, background and full videos, follow the appropriate link.
Fjord & Baelt (up to 4 hours (loop)): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/fjord-baelt
>> Fjord & Baelt is an underwater tunnel exhibition at the open research lab in Kerteminde, Denmark. We created a four-hour multichannel soundscape composition based on environmental data recorded near the station in 2016.
Myriad (30 min (loop)): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/myriad
>> Myriad is an immersive exhibition at Frankfurter Kunstverein about global animal migration and connected ecosystems. We created a spatial sound environment that forms a musical ecosystem, with sonic and haptic feedback supporting interaction.
Collide (10 min (loop)): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/collide
>> Collide is a synaesthetic art installation for Dolby Gallery in San Francisco, created with onformative. We composed and spatialised the soundtrack from recorded cello improvisations.
Piece Three (8 min): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/piece-three
>> Piece Three is an augmented concert piece developed for Listening to Climate Change with the Youth Orchestra Berlin. Spatial sound extends the orchestra through cellphones in the audience, adding local sound points throughout the hall.
Event Horizon (13 min): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/event-horizon
>> Event Horizon is a sound and light installation about the threshold of a black hole. Spatial sound breaks a familiar voice into textures, fragments, and particles as visitors move through the room.
TED2024 (10 min): https://www.klingklangklong.com/works/ted24
>> A sonic journey through the universe is a TED2024 performance experienced entirely through sound. Spatial sound, field recordings, and data-driven music guide the audience from Earth toward cosmic scale.
Polite note: While Fjord and Belt and Myriad are ambient works to welcome you in, Event Horizon, Piece 3 plus the work for the TED conference deserve your attention.
Please consider this if you need to talk to friends and colleagues as you arrive. The Courtyard is still open, with drinks available.
Our thanks to the team at KLING KLANG KLONG for enabling this wonderful sonic beginning to the World Experience Summit 2026.
