Eyal Danon has spent two decades working in Theatre and Live Interactive Experiences, where he focuses on crafting worlds in which audiences discover genuine agency.
Beginning his career as a Theatre director, he has since worked as an Experiential Marketing producer and Escape Room designer, leading to his current role as co-founder of Clockwork Dog.
At Clockwork Dog, Eyal has collaborated with notable experience makers such as Secret Cinema, Punchdrunk, Immersive Everywhere, Path Ents, and most recently, Netflix.
He champions ‘Live Interactive’ experiences, as an experience truly comes alive when audiences are given authentic control, resulting in them being able to witness and benefit from the effect of their own impact.
Eyal’s approach is rooted in creating robust processes that anticipate and adapt to audience behaviour, observing what an audience does and quickly responding to it rather than expecting to anticipate everything.
He likens poor interactive design to seeing badly performed Shakespeare, emphasising that a truly great experience empowers discovery and understanding, avoiding the feeling of being inaccessible, or like you’re doing it wrong.
His philosophy embraces learning through iteration, drawing parallels to the low-cost experimentation found in game design
