Lance Chantiles is co-founder and CEO of Indistinguishable From Magic, a venture-backed physical computing platform that enables artists, designers, engineers, and educators to create innovative interactive experiences, quickly and efficiently.
The mission of IF Magic is to lower the barrier to entry when building experiences that interact with the real world, enabling a new generation of creators regardless of technical background.
Experiences that have “run on magic,” include classes at the Stanford d.School, Yale University, and Carnegie Mellon University, activations at South by Southwest, Sundance Film Festival, and London Experience Week, a room scale video-game at the Museum of Ice Cream, performances at the Getty Museum, sculptures at the Whitney ISP, and award winning installations in New York City.
Prior to receiving a double major in Mechanical Engineering & Film from Yale University, Lance’s trained as a professional ballet dancer at the School American Ballet in New York City, and acted on Broadway, film, and television.
