Christopher is a multi-talented writer-director-actor who has worked on over 150 films, theatrical productions, VR, videogames, and immersive entertainments on four continents.
He is the Digital Experience Director and Lead Narrative Designer of the live musical/metaverse hybrid theatre piece, “Vita Nova.” It is now an official Doris Duke Foundation Project that is in development.
Christopher is currently building a Metaverse experience that incorporates the live show, a muti-cam live-stream, and multiple avenues of interactivity both in the Metaverse space and the live theater show. He is leading the narrative department through branching and interactivity in the live space.
He has worked with and trained Hollywood talents such as Alex Reid, Tanya Saracho, Raul Castillo, Emily Deschanel, Lindsey Lohan, Dan Folger, Keith David, Zakes Mokae, Diane Ladd, as well as rising pop stars Tyler Cole and Madison Rose and punk goddess Haley Dahl of Sloppy Jane.
His first feature film as a writer/director ‘The Bellwether’ (the world’s first female-lead solo film) was released in 2019. His award-winning shorts have also been distributed worldwide.
He has been a development executive and story consultant for Hollywood. He has also written and directed 360° films. He has been commissioned for features, television pilots, and plays alike.
He is also a narrative designer and has written for several videogames ranging from indie to AAA.
His branching narrative VR piece “The Werewolf Experience” is funded by various branches of the Belgian government and is currently at festivals.
His 360° volumetric capture series, “Drunk Zombie Duelists” received a Dutch grant to film a proof-of-concept, for which he has partnered with Media Monks, one of the world’s largest digital marketing agencies.
In his theatrical career he has worked at some of the largest and well-respected theatre companies (Cirque du Soleil, The Berkeley Repertory Theatre, The Huntington Theatre Company [all Tony winners]). He helped create and performed with Cirque du Soleil for their first ever immersive environment.
He ran Broken Buddha Productions for ten years exploring the intersection of theatre, dance, circus, martial-arts, gymnastics, stage-combat, and more, producing and directing five movement-based pieces for that company.
He is also an award-winning fight choreographer.
Four of his plays have been produced in California; Chicago; and Melbourne, Australia. Morrison is a co-founder of Impact Theatre in Berkeley, California, which lasted 20 seasons.
His directing has been called “A brave move towards a different style of theatre,” and Cirque du Soleil called him “A huge asset to the creative process.”
A frequent speaker and teacher he’s spoken at The UK House of Lords, BIFFF, BiFAN, among many others on writing and creativity in media and business.
